The soldier nearly lost his grip on the railing he was holing onto, his flesh hand struggling to get it’s hold back with the newly added weight of his opponent. He kicked at the man, attempting to get him off as he tried to get his grip back on the railing for the walk way.

The kick was hard to sway away from, keeping a tight grip on the mans leg as he dangled from it, trying his best to swing his body away from each attempt. He had to end up throwing his own legs up, using the previous swings for momentum to catch his leg onto the railing and heave himself up and away from the soldier, running for his shield first.

The soldier took a few steps back, the man’s shield now in his possession as he tried to to read out the situation. The helicarrier took another lurch, tilting their playing fielding and causing the soldier to take a few unintentional steps back to keep himself upright. But his opponent had used this to his advantage. The assassin looks up quickly for something to pull himself up out of the way—a walk way. He jumped, barely dodging the attack before he threw the shield up first and climbed up after it.

Steve ambled to his feet, fingers digging into the metal floorboards as he tried to pull himself up to his feet by swinging his weight around and flipping back up. His eyes followed him like a hawk, and he ran toward him, heavy clunking steps before swinging his arms back, bending his knees and leaping up - it seems all those fights with Batroc had taught him a thing or two. He made a mental note to thank Masters for the lesson.

As he jumped he grabbed the assassin by the boots, trying to climb his way up his legs to get to his shield before he did.

“Oh no, you’re not getting there first!"

The soldier scowled as he heard the shots he fired being deflected. He needed to get the shield away from his opponent. So he squeezed the trigger down on his rifle and ran straight at the man, stopping only when he was close enough grab onto the shield. His cybernetic fingers gripped the edge of the shield and pulled it forwards, to expose the man behind it to a hit from the butt of the soldier’s rifle.

The rain of bullets parried off his shield as he attempted to deflect them, the force weighing on his arm, each bullet becoming heavier the closer the man ran at him, speeding rebelliously.

Steve’s eyes shot open with shock as he heard the screech of metal against metal, the loud screeching and scratch. His own grip tightened protectively, gritting his teeth and trying to balance his weight back to regain control, but the power of the arm was throwing him off by a vast measure.

It was getting pried away from him, and he sneered, looking up at the man who was tugging his beloved protector away from him, eyes meeting that of the assassins.

His eyes looked familiar, so familiar - striking a rapid sense of deja vu spiralling through Steve’s memory, though the smoke made the view a little distorted.

He could’ve sworn it was…

Without time to think he was smacked out of the contemplation by the butt of the gun to the top of his head, causing him to let go of the shield and stagger back a bit.

He didn’t have time to waste and as soon as he had recovered he knew he was under threat, especially without the shield. He ran forward and slid down to try and swoop, using the tilt of the carrier to assist him.

He’d used the cube once, but it was mostly on accident. He needed a way out; it gave him one. But he was holding it then. Now it was protected and taking it out now would risk losing it. The soldier doesn’t have time to deal with the man in front of him, and he’s positive the man can’t see exactly what he’s dealing with in the heavily shadowed room. He needs to make this quick or risk going down with the helicarrier.

In one quick movement, he pulls a flash grenade from his belt and sets it off quickly followed by a smoke grenade to get himself clear. He couldn’t just leave. Sizing up his opponent, he knew the man would be a problem if he left him alive. This was something that would need to be taken care of.

The soldier pulled the rifle off his back, putting it into full auto as the lenses in his mask allowed him to see through the smoke and pinpoint his mark. He pulled the trigger, nearly missing as the helicarrier gave another lurch.

The flash made Steve turn his head to the side to avoid the bright light, his shield being held up in defence as he held his ground despite the rickety floor under him. The ship was starting to wane, the jets being tampered with were leading to mass instabilities as the sirens behind him continued to blare.

So this guy wanted a way out,  but Cap would be damned if he let him slide past him. No, this was his turf and this fella was messing with it, taking what wasn’t his, wanting take credit for the huge death toll that would be a result of the ship being destroyed.

It was hard to see through the thick smoke that’d formed, but Steve deflected a beam of light from outside, using that to allow his steely eyes to make sense of at least what was in front of him, the light reflecting off what was before him and forming silhouettes. Peering over the top of the shield he’d spotted a shadow of a gun, and then the carrier juddered and sent them both a little askew, the bullet panging hard against the shield and deflecting. “You ain’t gettin’ off this ship without fixing it first, pal! Or you’re coming down with us!"

The soldier was told that finding a way onto the SHIELD helicarrier would not be easy. But it took him all of one day to find a way on. After tailing a known agent, he was able to use the man as a way to get on board. Once on, it was just a matter of finding exactly where the Cosmic Cube was being held.

The key to going undercover is acting like you belong there while hiding in plain sight. The SHIELD uniform he was wearing concealed his cybernetic arm and made him into just another agent. The agent he had taken it from was a high level tech. This made it easy to gain access to a computer that would lead him right to the cube. The Soldier signed in using the the agent’s login information and began working. He found the location, just as he was sure an agent noticed that she hadn’t seen him before but was gone before she could question him.

Restricted access. The agent he was currently posing as didn’t have the access, but that hardly mattered. The soldier cybernetic arm could get him through the door. Its mechanics whirring as he overexerted its power. The noise he was making as he punched his way through the door would get him noticed, but that wouldn’t be a problem.

The agents that had noticed him earlier would, by now, have noticed the flash drive he’d left plugged in. She would’ve found the virus that had begun to attack SHIELD’s systems. The helicarrier would be going down…all the soldier had to do was give it a push.

“Put the cube down!” Several agents had their guns trained on him.

But they couldn’t pull the trigger fast enough as he used to cube to transport him to the helicarrier’s engine room. The Soldier put the cube into the container he had slug over his shoulder and pulled out his gun as the alarms sounded at his intrusion. He made quick work of any agent who came after him, leaving nothing but death in his wake as he moved further into the room.

Once the area was secure he moved towards the main control panel. With the number of agents headed in his direction, finesse wasn’t the way to go. His cybernetic fist made quick work of the controls, and the satisfying lurch that happen shortly after meant all he had to do what get out.

He exited the control room but stopped—his gaze looking over the man blocking his way.

Sirens blared throughout the helicarrier and quite abruptly interrupted the Super Soldier from his regular workout regime that was strictly monitored by SHIELD white-coats. A range of cords and wires attached to Steve while he was running on the treadmill with his stats flashing up on the monitors around, though it was hard for the young interns to keep their eye on them when Steve was in front of them, moving at extreme speeds and with a power in each stride, that and of course he was eye candy. Though the second he heard the sirens he performed a gallant leap over the bar of the treadmill and ripped the wires from his chest like he had done many times before. He hated being monitored, and this was the perfect excuse to break from it, but it wasn’t every day that the level 0 sirens began to sound. He knew then that there had been a security breach.

It took him moments to grab his gear and run out of the labs in his star spangled uniform, slipping on the cowl as he ran down the metallic floored hallways with a heavy ‘clank’ following each step. He headed to one of the side screens, tapping on it for the details of the security breach.

“Who’re we dealing with here?”

“Unknown.” The computer replied. So it wasn’t anyone on the highly maintained and adept database which meant one of three things; the person had managed to get in using a current security pass, they had a rat in their ranks or it was someone entirely new. He sincerely had hoped that it wasn’t the last option - having to deal with yet another thread wasn’t ideal, particularly when the Avengers had a lot on their plate as was.

“Get me heat signals up.” He said, watching the number of dots hoard together and attempt to hone in on that single one that was running ahead of them, darting down the corridors and apparently making easy work of each of the pack, tearing them down one by one.

“We’ve got out leader, right there. The packs are agents.” He said, narrowing his eyes in a pensive manner to formulate a plan of attack. He would have to get to the higher floor then drop to the lower level. That would be his quickest way, and hopefully then he could incept this unknown threat that peaked his curiosity.

He sprinted through the place, taking the planned short-cut to the control room to ensure that the panel remained untouched, because he knew the moment that they got there, the moment that the entire helicarrier was compromised.

Leaping over the unconscious bodies of the agents like hurdles, he’d managed to finally get there, though by the time he reached there was a shadow attending to the panel and making a swift exit. The only problem now was that Steve was standing right in his way.

“You’re gonna have to fix that panel, pal. Because I sure as hell ain’t letting you out of here until you have."

BUCKCAP’S WINTER SOLDIER ARC || PLOT

infamouswinter:

Okay, I want to make a record of this, so I don’t forget what it is. Before I start, I just want to state that I want to keep this as far away from how things went down in comic canon as well as how things go down in MCU. So with that in mind, here’s what we’ve got for basic plot:
